Jilted man kills girlfriend, commits suicide

A JILTED man from Gwabalanda suburb allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and thereafter committed suicide.

The man whose name has not yet been ascertained reportedly stabbed Nomqhele Nkiwane eight times on the chest on Wednesday night.

He was later found hanging on a tree near J Themba shopping centre in Gwabalanda.

Acting Bulawayo Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abedinico Ncube confirmed the murder and suicide but could not give more details.
