Prophet assaults client for having an affair with his wife

A SELF-STYLED prophet allegedly assaulted a male client he accused of having an affair with his wife after finding him chatting with her at the gate of his house.

Tymon Dube (35) of Fort Street in Bulawayo was not asked to plead to a charge of assault when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Sibongile Msipa on Saturday. Msipa remanded Dube out of custody to April 10.

Allegations were that on April 3 at around 6pm, the complainant Effort Ncube (27) of Cowdray Park, went to Dube's residence seeking some spiritual help.It was the State's case that on arrival, he found Dube away and waited for him while chatting to his wife standing at the gate.

Dube found them at the gate when he arrived and pounced on Ncube with an array of blows accusing him of having an affair with his wife. Ncube sustained injuries to the face and made a report to the police, leading to Dube's arrest.
