Bulawayo police have increased their patrol officers ahead of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair next week.
Bulawayo provincial spokesperson Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo said the police would be on the look out for criminal activities.
"We have deployed our officers to arrest any criminal activities in the city. We also advise the public not to leave valuables in vehicles as that would attract criminals," Moyo said.
"The ZITF period has recorded cases of thefts especially pick pocketing so the public is urged to be on the look out for these criminals," Moyo said.
"The public is advised against walking in secluded areas alone at night as they would become easy targets to criminals."
