POPULAR Bulawayo disc jockey Makhosonke Moyo, aka Marcus Andropov, is locked up in love triangle after allegedly ditching the mother of his child Cingokuhle Ncube for a budding singer Langelihle Ndlovu.
Documents in possession of Southern Eye Lifestyle show that Andro, as he is popularly known in Bulawayo's night life circles, has been taken to the courts for failing to maintain his 18-month old child.
Ncube is demanding a maintenance fee of $458 per month.
The court papers indicate the DJ earns approximately $1 500 at Monarch Steel in Bulawayo where he works as an information technology (IT) programmer.
The breakdown of Ncube's demands indicate $288 is for food and groceries for the child, including formula milk, $30 medical expenses and $140 for clothes, specifically premium pampers.
One of Andro's female relatives is said to have told his former lover that his brother "was practising on top of her to prove his virility whether he could sire a child a not".
According to those privy to two former lover's fallout, after impregnating Ncube, the popular DJ decided to ditch her for Langa who also gained fame on national television, presenting a local programme titled Zim IneStyle.
On his Facebook page the IT expert turned wheelspinner has a profile picture of himself with Langa, a political science final year student at the University of Zimbabwe in which the National University of Science and Technology-trained IT expert categorically states the two love birds are engaged.
Ncube, who is based in South Africa, is presently in Bulawayo with her child in preparation for the maintenance case set to be heard at the Magistrates' Courts on May 21. She confirmed to Southern Eye Lifestyle she has been having problems with Andro who is refusing to support their child.
"I've sought legal action against him," Ncube said.
"I know Marcus is now engaged to Langa. I will not fight for a man. All I need is for him to fend for his child that's what I want."
Contacted for comment Andro denied that he is locked up in a love triangle and failing to look after the child.
He begged this reporter not to publish the story.
"I am not locked up in any love triangle and I don't have a child. It's not true. I swear what people are saying it's false and I'm still shocked. I'm asking you please don't publish the story," he said.
But Ncube's mother showed this reporter sms messages which are likely to be presented in court as evidence in which the disc jockey accepts responsibility as the father of the child.
"He has not done anything to support the child hence the maintenance action. We will meet him in court on Wednesday next week," the mother said.
"He has made us a laughing stock in the community and sending his lovers to harass my daughter. All we want is for him to pay for the upkeep of his child. As you see from these smses, he does not refuse that he fathered the child with my daughter."
But Marcus would have none of it, saying: "These people are lying. Please do not print the story."
