The larger than life story of a strange worm that emerged from nowhere and entered a 14-year-old boy (name withheld) two days after sleeping with a married woman, has gone a gear up.
News reporters visited the family on Saturday and once again spoke to the aunt of the troubled boy, Nobuhle Moyo, in Matshobana suburb in Bulawayo. She revealed that the boy's health has greatly deteriorated. She also said his 'anaconda' has enlarged and was urinating blood.
It is reported that some family members have since taken the boy to Plumtree for treatment.
"A tsikamutanda phoned and asked us to bring the boy to Plumtree for treatment. Some family members have already taken the boy there for treatment. He is in severe pain, when he urinates he groans in pain and we are hoping for the best," she said.
The distraught aunt added that the boy no longer eats but only drinks tea a bit and they fear for the worst.
"We are now worried as the boy no longer eats and we fear that he might die. When we try to feed him he refuses to open his mouth but he only drinks tea, just a bit. His health has deteriorated sharply," she said.
The aunt said the boy still experiences the worm attack five times everyday. She appealed to the woman's husband to come out in the open and solve the problem. She said they suspect that the married woman whom their 14-year-old boy had sex with was 'locked' with runyoka by her husband who was believed to be a haulage truck driver.
"We are prepared to pay anything to the man. We are also appealing to anyone who can treat this kind of ailment to come to Number 142 Matshobana," said the aunt.
The boy's aunt revealed that efforts to locate both the woman or her husband have proved futile as they do not know where they are now.
