Council Police brutality exposed

A man is lying unconscious along 5th avenue in Bulawayo after his wares were confiscated by plain clothes municipality police known as oMakhokhoba! He was chased for several hundred yards trying to prevent these trigger happy City council police from taking his goods and arresting him for vending illegal.

Millions of unemployed Zimbabweans have no choice but to venture into this informal sector business, the only industry still operating in most parts of the country. They buy & sell anything they come across to try and earn a living in these economic hardships.

The police came at the right time to save the municipal lorry from being burnt down by fellow angry vendors. They were all screaming, shouting and demanding to know how the authorities expect them to survive since they are unemployed and with no source of income or help from anybody while the man remained unconscious with no one coming to his aid!
