Bulawayo war veterans today threw their weight behind Zanu PF national chairman Simon Khaya Moyo as the perfect candidate to fill the vacant party Vice Presidency.
The former freedom fighters held a meeting at their Entumbane headquarters where they said precedence should be followed to allow Khaya Moyo to land the post.
Bulawayo provincial war vetetans chairperson Japhet Phuthi said the late John Nkomo and Joseph Msika were both elevated to the vice presidency from the position of party national chairperson.
Phuthi attacked some senior Zanu PF officials campaigning for the post saying they were acting like renegades.
