MDC Renewal to unveil Makokoba legislator

The MDC Renewal Team is set to unveil Makokoba legislator Gorden Moyo as their member at a rally scheduled for Bulawayo next month.

Moyo early this year resigned as MDC-T Bulawayo provincial chairman citing violence and lack of coordination in the Morgan Tsvangirai led party.

He had indicated that he would remain an ordinary card carrying member but last month the Renewal Team appointed him to handle their International Relations brief.

The current MDC-T Bulawayo acting chairperson was quick the dismiss the appointment saying Moyo had not resigned from his party.

But sources within the Renewal Team say a big rally is being planned in Bulawayo where Moyo would be unveiled as a member.

"The rally would be held in the third week of September and then Moyo would make his position clear on whose side he is on," said the source.

MDC Renewal spokesperson Jacob Mafume could not be reached for comment.
