A MAN serving jail term for murder at Khami Maximum Prison on Monday stunned the court by confessing that the person he killed was now haunting him in prison.
Trymore Ndlovu (30) of Njube made the confession when he appeared before Bulawayo Western Commonage magistrate Tancy Dube facing a charge of aggravated indecent assault. Before he was asked to plead to the charge, Ndlovu asked the court to allow him to confess to the murder which he was currently doing time for.
"The person I killed is now haunting me and asking me to tell his relatives that I killed him. I see a snake every day in my dreams," Ndlovu told the court.
Dube promised to look into his issue later.
On the charge of indecent assault, Ndlovu was not asked to plead and the magistrate remanded him to September 22.
Prosecutor Silethemba Dube told the court that on July 7 at around 8am, a fellow convict Morros Emmanuel dragged a 20-year-old prisoner to Ndlovu's cell.
Ndlovu threatened to assault the man with a wire and ordered him to remove his short before allegedly sodomising him.
The matter was reported to prison warders and Ndlovu was arrested.
