****Funeral Update****
Funeral arrangements for founder member of the MDC, Chaiperson of the Council of Elders and former Treasurer General, Fletcher Dulini Ncube who passed on yesterday at Mater Dei Hospital will be announced as soon as they are made available.
Currently mourners are gathered at House No. 7 Oxford Road, Hillside, Bulawayo.
Dulini-Ncube was one of the MDC founders and a veteran of the opposition movement in Zimbabwe.
Dulini-Ncube (71) died yesterday after a long battle with diabetes.
The former Lobengula-Magwegwe MP was the chairperson of the Welshman Ncube-led MDC's council of elders.
In 2002, Dulini Ncube was arrested together with six other MDC-T activists on false charges that they killed war veterans leader Cain Nkala.
The three were acquitted by the High Court following a full trial, but the incarceration had taken its toll on Dulini Ncube's health.
At the time of his release he had partially lost sight.
He was an accomplished politician who held the post of treasurer-general during the formative years of the united MDC. Dulini Ncube stuck with Ncube and Gibson Sibanda when the MDC split in 2005.
