Mysterious human skull found on street

Part of a human skull was apparently found in Njube but its origin remains a mystery.

Residents suspect that someone could have given birth and dumped the baby in a bin and the skull was taken by dogs.

A resident who insisted on being identified only as MaNcube said she first saw the skull after 8AM when she was sweeping her yard.

She described the discovery as the shock of her life.

The resident said at first she could not tell what it was, but it had blood and there were flies.

She called an elderly woman from the same neighbourhood, who then identified it as a human skull.

MaNcube said from the look of it, it seemed to belong to a baby and they then reported the matter to the Njube police station.

MaNcube said women were now afraid to leave their toddlers unattended because of the incident.

Another resident, Agnes Ndlovu, said she was now afraid to live in the suburb where such mysterious things happen.

A 78-year-old woman who identified herself only as MaNtonga said the incident could be as a result of satanism.

Police could not be reached for comment.
