Plumtree 'mafia' on the run

A PLUMTREE serial criminal, Limukani Sibanda ( 24) is on the run after committing a series of heinous crimes in Plumtree and Bulawayo while covering his footprints.

Police in Plumtree have launched a serious manhunt after he raped a Grade Seven pupil and his best friend's mother, 42, then assaulted and tried to strangle them in separate on Tuesday this week. .

Sibanda, according to reports by the Chronicle, met the girl, a pupil at Tsukuru Primary School, while she was on her way to write her first public examination at around 7AM and pulled her into a bush before raping and attempting to kill her.

An hour later Sibanda met his best friend's mother, and beat her up severely with a log on her head and body. He broke both her arms and fractured her skull.

Sibanda raped the woman whose body was a bloody mess and left her lying unconscious on the ground before stealing R700 from her.

Sibanda's relatives said he was last seen at a neighbour's house where he asked for a rope, which he claimed he wanted to use to pull a car.
