Cop killer taxi man nabbed

Police have nabbed the suspected cop killer who allegedly caused the death of Bulawayo traffic police Inspector Chingwe by dragging him for about 100m along 12th Ave before the cop fell on the tarmac. The cop died the following day due to internal injuries upon admission at Materdei hospital

The 'killer' whose officially name could not be readily ascertained was only identified as "The godfather" by his fellow taxman.

This afternoon armed cops escorted him - as he struggled to walk with leg chains on his legs, along 12 Ave to demonstrate how he killed Chingwe

Although it was not ascertained how the bearded 'killer' was named, sources said he surrendered himself to police as an indication of being remorseful

But earlier reports had indicated that the "godfather" was on the run.

This could have been true as he was three days after the incident, still clad in what his colleagues said were the same clothes he was wearing when he committed the crime.
