Makokoba Healthcare Initiative helps young man get wheelchair after amputation

The family of 28-year-old Tafirei Mhlanga, from Mashame, Gokwe, are grateful to Simba "Sporo " Nyakudziwanza a former Amazulu player for linking up Makokoba Health Care Initiative and Sharon O'connell who is the manager of Merrill House care home, Derby UK.
Merrill House care home donated 5 wheelchairs to MHCI enabling Tafirei to benefit from one since both his legs were amputated from above the knees.
Tafirei's sister, Siphiwe "S'phie" Mhlanga, said: "He is epileptic and doesn't know or remember how he got burnt severely on both legs.
"He was transferred from Gokwe to Gweru to Mpilo were doctors amputated both legs above his knees and he is healing very well."
The family would also like to thank Farai for transporting the wheelchairs from the UK to Zimbabwe.
