A 33-year-old woman from Pumula East reportedly teamed up with her 29-year-old sister to undress and pull the private parts of her daughter's former employer in a nasty row over unpaid salary.
This was heard when the pair, Shupikai and Naomi Disi appeared before Western Commonage Court magistrate Mr Shepherd Munjanja for contravening Section 89 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.
Prosecutor Mr Fanuel Chokuda told the court that sometime in May this year the complainant, Mr Tarwirei Siziba (31), engaged the services of Shupikai's daughter as a housemaid.
It said that the maid worked for only five days before quitting without being paid.
On July 19 at around 5pm, Shupikai allegedly teamed up with her sister Naomi and went to the complainant's house where they demanded their daughter's salary for her five days' work.
It is understood that Mr Siziba refused to give them the money, arguing that he did not know them.
A heated argument ensued, leading to Naomi losing her temper. She allegedly assaulted Mr Siziba on the head several times with a stick.
Not to be outdone, Shupikai allegedly joined her sister to inflict pain on the hapless complainant by pulling his genitals.
It is further alleged that Mr Siziba, who was in pain, tried to ward off the marauding women by urinating in their direction but they would have none of it. They allegedly continued to bash him.
The court heard that the complainant, after realising that his assailants were determined to inflict more harm, screamed for help and his wife and neighbours rushed to the scene to rescue him.
Mr Siziba, who sustained internal injuries, reported the matter at Pumula Police Station, leading to the arrest of the attackers.
He was referred to hospital where a medical report was compiled. It will be used in court as an exhibit.
The sisters pleaded not guilty and were remanded to August 5 for trial.
