Bulawayo happy with Mnangagwa, Mphoko appointments

Bulawayo residents have welcomed the appointment of the two Vice Presidents, saying they will ably support President Robert Mugabe in driving the country forward, the ZBC reported.

They said the two Vice Presidents will give President Mugabe adequate support in prioritising national development, given their past credentials.

Retired Colonel Abel Mazinyane, who worked under Mphoko during the liberation struggle, said he has no doubt that he deserved to be elevated to the vice presidency post as he is an honest and straight forward man who can uplift the country.

In a telephone interview, a senior Zanu-PF member, Naison Khutshwekaya Ndhlovu, expressed confidence that Mpokho will serve his country with dignity and humility.

Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko were yesterday appointed Zanu-PF Vice Presidents and will be sworn in as the country's two Vice Presidents on Friday.
