Minor (14) dragged to court for 'rape'

BULAWAYO - A fourteen year old teenage boy from Binga who had visited his relatives in Sizinda has been hauled before the courts for indecent assault.
The 14-year-old notorious boy who cannot be named for legal reasons allegedly asked girls aged seven, eight and eleven to engage in "sexual" encounter with him for $2 each.
For the love of money, the girls agreed and proceeded to Sizinda Seventh Day Adventist Church where they gained entry through the window and played the "sex" game.
However, after the "act", the boy refused to pay them and they were bitter, resulting in them reporting the matter to their parents.
The matter was then reported to the police leading to the accused's arrest.
The boy was hauled before magistrate Maphios Moyo facing rape charges.
However, the charges were altered to indecent assault after he argued that there was no penetration. He was remanded out of custody to 16 December for continuation of trial.
