Today (17.12.2014) ZIMPAPERS, Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal ad Courier Services and the Rural Electrification Fund joined the crusade of government and private enterprises that deliberately misspelt IsiNdebele language thus violating the social, cultural and linguistic rights of the language speakers.

The aforementioned government departments posted messages in today's Chronicle congratulating President Mugabe, Grace Mugabe, Hon Undenge and Hon Muzenda. All the messages that are in pages 12 and 14 have a statement "Congratulations, Makorokoto, Amhlope" and once again like what was done by Telone in its Sunday News advert, it is the Ndebele word that was wrongly spelt.

It is now becoming very clear and evident that this issue of writing wrong isiNdebele spellings is a deliberate tribal issue that is designed and orchestrated to mutilate and annihilate the language.

We at Christian Changemakers therefore demand that all these departments issue public apologies for these gross human rights violations and that the Minister of Sports Arts and Culture should weigh in and speak against this abnormality.

We are committed as Christian Changemakers to peacefully continue campaigning for the respect of the Ndebele language ad until our demands are met, we shall not cease to exercise our right to peaceful and non-violent advocacy for our rights.

Once again we demand a public apology!
