Woman flees home after being accused of sleeping with her own son by girlfriend

AN elderly woman from Bulawayo's North End suburb deserted her matrimonial home, allegedly after being tormented by her son's girlfriend who accused her of having sext with her son.

Samkeliso Nyambi, who is a widow and has been living with her son Morris, is facing the strange accusation from a woman identified as Kimberly, who allegedly suspects there is more to the mother and son relationship.

"This is shocking to say the least. How can I indulge with my son. That is taboo in our culture and I can't do such a thing. That is sinful," said a tearful Nyambi.

Nyambi said her life turned for the worst when her son started dating Kimberly.

"Kimberly would come to my house in North End and insult me without restraint. She would shout obscenities at me."

"She always shouts on top of her voice that I sleep with my son and I am the one who caused the death of my husband," she said.

She added that she has since gone back to her family in Hwange. Contacted for a comment, Kimberly said: "I admit we had an argument. There is no family that does not encounter any problem why is this one blown out of proportion?" she retorted.

On the other hand, Morris said he has since engaged his aunt to apologise to his mother.

"I have engaged my aunt to apologise to my mother for the wrong that we did to her. It was unfortunate," he said.
