BULAWAYO socialite and comedian Babongile Sikhonjwa, who spent Christmas in hospital after being involved in an accident, yesterday announced his return to good health with a typical of him cracker calling on Zesa to "switch Mpilo hospital on".

The comedian wrote on Facebook:

"Public announcement. If anyone knows someone at zesa please tell them to switch mpilo hospital on. We in icu and zesa just goes like that. I don't care who you have to call. Call someone. Sos sos sos. God bless"

Babongile, together with fellow comedian Clive Chigubu and a friend, were involved in a car accident in Nguboyenja after having attended various festive events in Bulawayo in December last year.

Sikhonjwa who was driving a Mercedes Benz C230 reportedly failed to negotiate a bend at the Nguboyenja fly over and lost control of the vehicle, hitting a lamppost before overturning.

Scores of well wishing messages from the Bulawayo community have been hitting the comedian's social media pages. Friend and associate Ezra Tshisa Sibanda has been visiting Sikhonjwa in hospital and updating on the comedian's progress.

Bulawayo 24 news joins the rest of Bulawayo and the world in wishing Sikhonjwa a speedy recovery.
