Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko has implored the Bulawayo Zanu-PF leadership to leave no stone unturned as they work on increasing the support base of the party

Vice President Mphoko visited various Zanu-PF structures in Bulawayo which include areas 1, 2 and 3 at Davies Hall, in Magwegwe and Mpopoma respectively, where he called on the leadership to ensure every area in the city forms cells and works on strengthening the party's support base.

Mpoko lamented the fact that in the last elections, Zanu-PF failed to secure parliamentary seats in Bulawayo, saying that this cannot be allowed to continue.

He also assured the people of Bulawayo that the city will regain its status of being the country's industrial hub.

He highlighted that in order to achieve this, challenges of water and power shortages need to be addressed first.

In Area 2 in Magwegwe, the Vice President welcomed to the party over 60 people who defected from MDC to join Zanu-PF.

Mpoko also urged party youths to embrace a culture of discipline and to respect the party's leadership.

He said youths who attend party meetings drunk and seek to cause commotion will not be tolerated.
