The serial rapist from Bulawayo's Pumula suburb who was described as "every woman's nightmare" by a magistrate has been sentenced to a total of 101 years in prison.
Vusumuzi Sibanda (34) was convicted of more than 15 cases of aggravated rape, robbery and unlawful entry by three different courts.
He unleashed a two-week reign of terror in Northend, Kingsdale, Pumula and Paddonhurst.
Last week, Sibanda was sentenced to 23 years in prison for vicious sex attacks on at least nine women, of which four were conditionally suspended.
Senior regional magistrate Mark Dzira sentenced Sibanda to a further effective 78 years yesterday.
He said Sibanda was a heartless criminal who deserved the worst punishment at the court's disposal.
Magistrate Dzira said there were no extenuating circumstances in the "monstrous, inhumane and despicable" rapes committed by Sibanda.
The prosecutor, Tinashe Dzipe said on 15 January 2014, Sibanda raped a 14 year old girl at knife point in Queenspark.
On 20 January, he broke into a house in Queenspark and raped the occupant while pressing a knife to her throat. He then robbed her of her cell phone before stabbing her and striking her with a stone on the forehead.
He later raped and robbed a heavily pregnant woman at knife point at footpath between Kingsdale and Queenspark suburbs.
A few days later, Sibanda broke into a house in Kingsdale where he threatened a woman with an okapi knife and raped her while she cradled her baby.
Sibanda also cornered a woman and her niece at their house and locked the woman in the bedroom, before raping her niece at knife point.
On the same day, he went to a house in where he assaulted a woman and locked her with her children inside a wardrobe.
He ransacked the house and went back to his victims.
He forced the woman to strip at knife point and raped her while her children watched.
The woman escaped naked through a window and alerted neighbours who failed to catch Sibanda. He was arrested at a nearby house where police caught him "inspecting the private parts" of woman he was about to rape.
He had forced her to open her legs, threatening to stab her if she refused.
A number of his victims identified Sibanda as their attacker at a police parade at the Bulawayo Central Police Station.
Sibanda broke down in court and begged the magistrate for leniency.
He said he needed to serve his sentence and get out while still alive to see his three children.
