'Prostitute' cuts man with broken bottle

A 27-year-old Nkulumane woman reportedly hit a reveller with a broken
bottle after he allegedly told police she was a prostitute.
The woman, Memory Mangena, according to Chronicle "cut up" Newman Chimbuna's forehead with a bottle after a beer binge at a city night club.
Mangena has since appeared in court facing an assault charges and has pleaded guilty.
The court heard that on Tuesday at around 4AM Chimbuna was having a meal at Golden Grill Takeaway. Mangena allegedly arrived at Golden Grill with a friend who was not named in court.
Mangena's friend pointed at Chimbuna and said he had told police she was a prostitute so that they could arrest her.
She reportedly charged towards Chimbuna and her friend gave her a broken empty bottle. She hit Chimbuna on the forehead leading to him sustaining a deep cut.
A passerby alerted police officers who were on patrol and they proceeded to the scene, leading to Mangena's arrest.
Mangena told the court she was defending herself from a group of men who wanted to assault her, when she accidentally hit Chimbuna.
