Thousands of people from Bulawayo and surrounding areas flocked to the Highlanders Sports Club yesterday to attend Prophet Magayas one-day healing service.
The PHD Ministries leader said he was in the city as part of his nationwide outreach programme to market his television station, Yada TV, and distribute "new anointing oil" and other promotional material.
He told his followers he was concerned with fake anointing oil that he said was being peddled by unscrupulous individuals in Bulawayo. "That's why I have brought the new anointing oil I declare prosperity, marriage, jobs and spiritual revival on everyone here," said Magaya to applause.
The prophet recently launched his new anointing oil, which he claims has resurrection power, fruitfulness, multiplication and dominion power.
The huge crowd started flocking to the sports club as early as 8AM and purchased
DVD's, stickers, wrist bands, T-shirts and caps while eagerly waiting for Magaya.
He arrived at about 3.30PM and completely changed the mood and atmosphere at the venue, with the crowd screaming with joy after setting their eyes on him clad in a blue T-Shirt, black trousers and a pair of designer shoes, Magaya was, as usual, escorted by senior church officials to the stage.
The moment he set foot on the stage, the crowd ran towards him, raising their hands and giving police officers a torrid time.
People in the crowd started falling and acting strangely, in what Magaya's followers termed "a manifestation of demons fleeing the holy man."
Some vomitted while others wailed as Magaya declared war on all spiritual forces inflicting misery on his followers.
He promised them that their problems would come to an end if they had faith in Jesus and made use of the church promotional material.
Magaya's followers told Chronicle his oil is capable of unlocking all the doors of impossibilities in one's life.
Vendors recorded brisk business selling fruit, soft drinks, confectionery and sweets to Magaya's followers.
Magaya last visited Bulawayo in August last year for a crusade at Amazulu Sports Club where thousands of people from different parts of the country attended.
Of late, PHD Ministries has seen a surge in the number of Zimbabweans flocking to the church seeking a breakthrough or deliverance. Magaya's anointing oil has seen many scrambling to acquire the product, with reports that it is now being sold on the black market
Last year there were reports that over 2,000 bottles of anointing oil are distributed on a daily basis by Prophet Magayak church.
