Radio licences: Jonathan Moyo beats Obert Mpofu

Information Media and Broadcasting Services Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo's allies have been granted broadcasting licences in Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.

Skyz Metro FM fronted by Moyo's ally Qhubani Moyo was licensed to broadcast in Bulawayo while Breeze FM under the same management will broadcast in Victoria Falls.

The station beat Transport minister Obert Mpofu's sponsored Skies Radio fronted by veteran broadcaster Ezra Tshisa Sibanda.

Mpofu and Moyo have been battling for relevance in Matabeleland region and last December the Zanu PF spin doctor described the Transport minister as having the body of an elephant and a mind of a rat.
