Plain robbery case increase 76% in Nketa

Nketa Constituency in Bulawayo experienced a massive (76%) increase in plain robbery cases recorded last year, Deputy Home Affairs Minister Ziyambe Ziyambe has disclosed.
Ziyambe said Nketa Constituency which falls within Tshabalala Police Station's policing area in Bulawayo recorded a general reduction in unlawful entry into premises and theft cases from a total of three hundred and thirty-eight (338) cases in the year 2013 to one hundred and eighty-two (182) cases in 2014.
This marked a forty-six percent (46%) decrease.
However, a general rise in Plain Robbery cases was recorded from thirty-three (33) to fifty-eight (58) cases, thus reflecting a seventy-six (76%) increase.
Nketa, he said experienced a monthly average of twenty-two (22) cases of Unlawful Entry into premises and theft and four (4) cases of Plain Robbery over the two year period.
