Information Minister Jonathan Moyo is skipping Tsholotsho FC much anticipated match with Highlanders at Barbourfields today.
Moyo, who is eying vacant Tsholotsho North seat, is in Lupane strategies on reclaiming the seat.
Zanu PF is having its Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting.
It was expected that Moyo will be at the match venue to give moral support to Tsholotsho FC.
In his Twitter @PROFJNMoyo handler monitored by Bulawayo24, he said "…had hoped to be I'm in Lupane attending PCC meeting on forthcoming Tsholotsho by-election. My heart will be at BF though."
Moyo is in the forefront of construction of Tsholotsho Stadium and was on Saturday at the ground to monitor progress made by the construction company.
"The good news is that the main designs are close to fruition and we expect that on the 9th of April completed designs would have been approved.
"It will be a major, major disappointment if that won't happen - Tsholotsho FC playing their return fixtures at the stadium," Moyo said.
