A senior member of the Central Intelligence Organisatiion (CIO) in Plumtree has reportedly forced a member of the MDC-T to remove a party T-Shirt she was wearing while at a hotel at the border town a week ago.

This was revealed by the MDC-T former MP for Bulilima East Norman Mpofu who identified the alleged CIO as one Muti and the victim as Lovejoy Ncube.

"Ncube walked into Plumtree Hotel at around 6pm recently to use a toilet and one her way out she was stopped by a man who introduced himself as Muti," said Mpofu." He then demanded her to remove her T shirt saying it was un acceptable to wear it since she is a civil servant. He then threatened her and told her he cab have her fired from work."

Mpofu said the woman tried to resist as her jacket did not have zip but the CIO insisted.

"She removed the t shirt and was given another t shirt by another lady who was in the area," said Mpofu. The officer confiscated the MDC-T t shirt and on Monday last week the officers from police's law and order visited her work place and left  a letter for her to visit Plumtree police station. She complied and was asked some questions in relation to the Plumtree hotel incidence. She was released. Surprisingly on Thursday last week she got a call and was advised to report at the President's offices, she then sort a meeting with me. After getting details of what transpired I advised her to make a police report of which she did. I further discouraged her from going to the CIOs offices as they have no mandate to interrogate members of the public."

Following the incident Ncube is reportedly living in fear of what might be fall her as the threats are reportedly on going.

This incident come at a time when villagers and police officers in Lupane are failing to come to terms with the case in which a police officer Carryon Ndebele was allegedly kidnapped by a CIO boss Jerry Zibotshwa and his juniors before being assaulted and left unconscious but Zibotshwa has not yet been dragged to court which makes villagers to leave in fear.
