DO not try this at home!
This message is usually flighted on television during wrestling matches but it could not deter a self-styled wrestling maniac from trying out the Undertaker choke slam on his wife.
For trying to be a WWE super star, Gonias Murembwa has landed himself in a murky situation and was on Friday brought before Western Commonage magistrate Mr Shepherd Mjanja to explain his stunt.
Murembwa (30) of 1001 Nketa 6 was found guilty of physical abuse as defined under the domestic violence Act and was subsequently sentenced to 105 hours of community service.
It is reported that sometime in July, Murembwa's wife, Lungile Ncube who is the complainant was packing her clothes with the intention of vacating the couple's home in Nketa suburb.
This was after Murembwa had told her to leave as he was no longer interested in their marriage.
The wife decided that she was going to stay with her sister at Hillside Suburb until Murembwa came to his senses.
While the wife was packing her belongings, Murembwa is said to have approached her and snatched a blanket from her.
Thereafter a misunderstanding arose between the two with either of them having some nasty words for the other.
The argument is said to have raged on for some time up until Murembwa could take it no more. He is said to have slapped his wife several times all over the body.
The assault did not stop the wife from giving Murembwa a piece of her mind.
Enraged by this, Murembwa is reported to have taken the decision to put the skills he had learnt from Ms wrestling idols. In a split of a second, he grabbed his wife on the neck before choking her.
He then slammed her to the floor rendering him victorious as the wife could not get up.
After regaining strength, the wife reported the matter to the police leading to Murembwa's
