Award winning kwaito group Big Nuz have canceled their show scheduled for Friday in Bulawayo to concentrate on taking part in efforts to end the xenophobic attacks in their home country of SA.
The group has dismissed speculation that they have canceled the trip to Zimbabwe because they fear violence from Zimbabweans.
Earlier Thursday, The Juice reported that members of the legendary kwaito group Big Nuz fear for their lives amidst threats of violence by angry Zimbabweans.
The group was set to perform in Zimbabwe tomorrow but have been receiving threats of a boycott and violence from Zimbabwean nationals.
These threats come in the wake of ongoing Xenophobic attacks in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, which have claimed the lives of at least five foreign nationals over the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, Winnie Khumalo and Ringo Madlingozi have also joined the list of SA celebrities to receive threats ahead of the Green Concert in Harare on 15 May. According to Sowetan, the organiser has been threatened, reportedly with calls to can the South African performers attending.
