A CHEEKY "small house" in Bulawayo was allegedly stabbed nine times by her boyfriend's wife when she showed up at the matrimonial home demanding to see her lover.

Aletha Moyo, 32, allegedly poured cold water on 29-year-old Marian Musiwaro's face and went on to assault her several times on the head with a cooking stick, before stabbing her on the head, forehead, hand and shoulder.

Musiwaro was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where she is still admitted after the Sunday drama in Nkulumane suburb.

Moyo appeared before Provincial magistrate Willard Maphios Moyo facing an assault charge.

She was not asked to plead and was remanded out of custody to April 23.

Prosecuting, Nomzamo Ndlovu told the court that on Sunday at around 7AM, Musiwaro went to Moyo's house in Nkulumane to see Moyo's husband Edwin Nemukuyu.

"On arrival, she asked Moyo if she could see Nemukuyu and a misunderstanding arose. Moyo poured water on Musiwaro's face. She then assaulted her several times on the head with a cooking stick before stabbing her," said Ndlovu.

She said Moyo stabbed Musiwaro once on the forehead, thrice on the head and several times on the right hand and shoulder.

The matter was reported to the police leading to Moyo's arrest.

In January this year, a woman from Bulawayo's Sizinda suburb was given a wholly suspended three year sentence for stabbing her husband with a screwdriver three times on his chest and stomach after he assaulted her for delaying to open the door for him.

The court heard that Malawi Nyoni, 43, went home drunk late at night and demanded that his wife Angela Nyoni, 35, open the door for him.

When she opened the door, Malawi punched her once on the face and head butted her accusing her of delaying to open the door.

That angered Angela who took a screwdriver and stabbed her husband.
