AN Emganwini family is searching for its 15-year-old son who disappeared from home after he was sent to buy bread at a local grocery shop last month.

Arlington Shereni, a Form 2 pupil at Bulawayo Business School in the city centre was last seen on April 30 wearing a pair of brown trousers, a white vest and blue shoes going to the shops at around 8AM.

"We last saw my son a week ago. I gave him $5 and sent him alone to buy bread at around 8AM on April 30, he never came back. I noticed after about half an hour that he had not yet arrived back home. I sent his siblings to check on him at the shops. They returned home without him and I was worried so I decided to go and look for him myself," Arlington's mother, Lavender Kumire, said.

She said people at the shops said they never saw her son.

Kumire said she went around asking neighbours if they had seen her son but it was in vain.

Her husband, Freddy Mlilo, reported the matter at Nkulumane Police Station.

"I appeal to anyone with information that may help us to contact me on 0774626516 or Mlilo on 0773251362 or to contact the nearest police station."
