Indecent WhatsApp pictures of married lover costs man $100

A HARARE man who sent indecent pictures of his married lover to the woman's husband as part of a plan to end the marriage has been fined $100 by a Bulawayo magistrate.
Kudakwashe Muregedze, 35, a truck driver, sent indecent pictures of Fortunate Kuguyo to Artwel Kandiero through WhatsApp. He told the court that Kuguyo was his lover.
Muregedze, who was convicted of sending p*rnographic material, knew that Kuguyo was married.
He said Kuguyo had told him she was no longer interested in her husband and wanted out of the marriage.
The two then hatched a plan to take indecent pictures of Kuguyo and send them to Kandiero as a way of frustrating the husband, the court heard.
Muregedze was convicted on his own plea of guilty to sending p*rnographic material in the form of photos through the phone by Bulawayo magistrate, Marilyne Mutshina on Thursday.
He was fined $100 or three months imprisonment.
Prosecuting, Kudakwashe Jaravaza said on May 31 at around 10PM, Kandiero was coming from the city centre when he received indecent pictures of his wife, Kuguyo on his phone.
He told the court that the pictures were sent using Muregedze's Econet line.The court heard that when Kandiero got to his place of residence, he found his wife at home.
"Kandiero questioned his wife about the pictures but she denied ever knowing Muregedze," said Jaravaza.
He told the court that Kandiero decided to file a report against Muregedze leading to his arrest.
