Gift Lunga battles to pay $100 maintenance

Former Highlanders player Gift Lunga (JNR) has been dragged to court struggling to pay $100 per month maintenance.
He has been defaulting on paying maintenance for six months.
Lunga now Highlanders under 16 gaffer is owing $600 for the upkeep of his child with former lover Memory Claudia Phiri.
Lunga was meant to pay $100 per month.
"The respondent (Lunga) and I have a child together. I applied for maintenance before this court on November 2013 under the case number 2064/13 and Lunga was ordered by the court to pay $100 maintenance per month.
"Despite the existing court order and the fact that he is gainfully employed as head coach for Highlanders under 16 he has been failing to pay maintenance consistently for the past six months."
"I am now applying for a garnish order against Lunga and the reason being that he is in arrears of $600 which I pray to the court that he should clear" said Phiri in her court papers.
Lunga is due in court on June 24.
