Goblin responsible for Dembare's continuous dominance over Bosso

Alex Mugede, a Bulawayo sculptor, who believes a goblin is responsible for football giant, Dynamos Football Club's continuous dominance over Highlanders FC is cashing in on a piece that depicts a goblin Dynamos colours, ahead of the match at Barbourfields stadium tomorrow.

Mugede said the piece, Gurajena, which is being sold for $50, was a goblin responsible for Dembare's continuous dominance of Bosso for the past nine years.

The sculpture depicts an old man with huge ears clad in Dembare colours - blue and white - seated on a football as a stool. With his tongue sticking out, the goblin will be hard at work holding a black clay pot which has red detailing. In his left hand, he will be holding a black fly whisk (itshoba).

"I was inspired to make the piece because I believe that there's a goblin responsible for Dynamos' wins against Bosso. Dembare always wins narrowly or by benefiting from a refereeing error," said Mugede.
