The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is investigating a case of bullying that occurred at Milton High School recently, a senior official has said.

Bulawayo Provincial Education Director, Dan Moyo, said his office will engage psychologists to help those children found guilty of the offence.

"The matter is still under investigation. I'm yet to receive a report from our investigation team. However, in most cases we normally engage psychologists to counsel the pupils," said Moyo.

The ministry's investigations were prompted by last week's attack of 10 Form One pupils at Milton Boys High School who were stoned by their seniors in a session where they recited their school's banned war cry.

Moyo said psychologists will monitor the behaviour of the pupils and give feedback to the ministry.

"After monitoring their behaviours the psychologist will report back to us. Those pupils who would've shown that they're really sorry will be forgiven. Those who don't show any remorse will be excluded from school," he said.

On Thursday last week Form Ones at Milton Boys High School were bashed by their seniors in Form Four and Upper Six classes resulting in some of them being admitted to hospital after sustaining substantial injuries.
