BCC begins Christmas festivities preps

Bulawayo City council has begun preparations for the Christmas festive season and is seeking to engage various entertainment groups that will offer their services for free.
The festivities will be rolled thought-out the city.
"It has been the practice over the years to organise functions or entertainment in the Parks to mark the approach of the Festive season in order to engender a joyous mood amongst the Bulawayo community at Christmas time," said Town Clerk, Middleton Nyoni.
"The Bulawayo City Council is inviting churches, upcoming artists, individuals and other community associations who would like to stage free public entertainment to participate in the coming Christmas festivities.
It is hoped that a varied programme can be arranged and suggestions include choirs, drama, poetry, band music and community singing ect.
The activities will be extended to ward level and organisations are invited to participate in this city-wide programme," he added.
