Burial place poser for Willard Khumalo

The death of Highlanders FC legend Willard Khumalo has raised questions as to where he might be laid to rest.

Khumalo has been described a football hero who deserve to be buried at Lady Stanley cemetery in Bulawayo.

In June, little known former Njune Sundowns player Maphias Webb was buried at Lady Stanley Cemetery.

Some residents said if Khumalo's family decides to bury him in Bulawayo, there is no befitting place than Lady Stanley as he fits into the set criteria.

Bulawayo City Council state that, "The person must have made an outstanding contribution to the well-being of the community as a whole in one or more of the fields of social activities, civic matters, education, religious leadership, business leadership, sport, charity, journalism, outstanding donations (in kind or cash) outstanding trade unionism leadership, invention which benefited the community as a whole and any other outstanding contribution as may be deemed appropriate from time to time."
