Woman allegedly defrauds resident of $7 500 in stand selling scam

A woman from Pumula East has been arraigned before the court for allegedly defrauding a Bulawayo resident of $7 500 after selling him a residential house which belonged to another resident.
Sithandazile Ncube (40) was not asked to plead to fraud when she appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Gladmore Mushove.
She was remanded out of custody on $100 bail to September 4.
The court heard that on May 20 this year while at Astra Building in the city Ncube met the complainant Thulani Ncube of Mpopoma and Emily Mathe and told them that she was selling house number 1272 inn Old Magwegwe.
Ncube went with them to the house Emily then paid $7 500 for the house to her .
The house belonged to Wilson Mafidini Dube who had never consented to it being sold.
Emily and Thulani discovered that the house did not belong to Ncube and reported the matter to the police leading to her arrest.
