Schools are opening today for the defining third term for Grade seven, Ordinary and Advanced Level students.
It was a hive of activity on the streets of Harare as borders prepared to return to school.
Some of the students interviewed by the ZBC News said they have nothing to fear as they have prepared hard.
Those sitting for their national examinations said they are confident of passing their examinations with flying colours.
For them, burning the midnight oil among other strategies is key to attaining academic excellence.
The past weeks have seen discourse over the relevance of national examinations with a leading educationist torching a storm after proposing that examinations be scrapped in favour of continuous assessment.
However students feel that there is need for final examinations, arguing that is the only credible way of authenticating one's qualifications.
