VICE-President Emmerson Mnangagwa plans to hold consultative meetings with Bulawayo residents later this month.
According to Bulawayo City Council's August report, Bulawayo Metropolitan provincial administrator, Khonzani Ncube, wrote to council requesting the free use of the Large and Small City Halls for Mnangagwa's meetings.
Part of Ncube's letter read: "The Vice-President, ED Mnangagwa intends to have a consultative visit to Bulawayo on September 24, 2015. It is against this background that we are making a booking for the use of your Small and Large City Halls on this day from 9am to 2pm.
Council agreed to provide the facilities for free.
However, the full scope of Mnangagwa's planned consultations was not immediately clear.
Mnangagwa is currently under fire over his recent utterances suggesting the late Vice-President Joshua Nkomo was a sell-out and that he lost the 1980 elections because of his alleged soft spot for whites.
