Khaya-Moyo in political limbo

ZANU-PF spokesperson Simon Khaya-Moyo's political career hangs in the balance after President Robert Mugabe sacked him from his Economic Planning portfolio and created a less know portfolio for him.
Mugabe on Friday added 14 new faces to his already bloated cabinet and made slight but telling ministerial changes.
Transport and Infrastructural Development minister Obert Mpofu was moved to Macro Economic Planning & Investment Promotion ministry, a position previously held by Khaya-Moyo.
Mugabe, crafted a new office for Policy Coordination & Promotion of Socio-Economic Ventures in the President's Office and drafted in Khaya-Moyo.
The changes come days before Mpofu and Khaya-Moyo are due to fly to London to lure investors.
Mpofu is part of a team of cabinet ministers sent to Zimbabwe's former colonial masters to pull business persons desperately needed to revive Zimbabwe's economy.
The top Zanu-PF officials will use the upcoming London based investment forum to persuade for a framework for joint ventures and allay fears of investors on indigenisation legislation.
The high- powered delegation also includes Industry and Commerce minister Mike Bimha.
Khaya-Moyo was linked to the sacked ex-vice president Joyce Mujuru faction but Mugabe spared him the chop at the December congress.
In his brief tenure as Transport minister, Mpofu ruffled features with his drive to erect more than 30 additional tollgates, including ion urban areas.
