Another minister breaks leg in nasty fall

SMALL to Medium Enterprises Development minister Sithembiso Nyoni broke a leg after a nasty fall from stairs while in South Africa recently, NewsDay has established.
Nyoni, who is now recovering back in the country, at the weekend attended an small to medium enterprises (SMEs) expo in Lupane walking with the aid of crutches.
"You have seen me walking with the aid of crutches. Do not fear, it is nothing serious. I fell from the stairs in South Africa and the doctor had to put this, but luckily, it's a minor thing," she said while addressing the expo attended by various participants including officials from POSB, Nyaradzo Funeral Services and local businesspeople.
In 2013, the then Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs minister Abednico Ncube missed a step, fell and broke his leg during a Zanu PF party in Bainbridge.
Ncube slipped on his way to lunch and broke his femur and was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital in Bulawayo.
