HOUSEMAIDS are normally known for abusing their offices but in a rare twist of events, a 17-year-old maid from Miilikazi lost all her property to her neighbour while doing her household chores.

It is alleged that the maid was doing thorough cleaning at her workplace.

It was reported that the maid took her suit-case with all her clothes outside the house so that she could do the job properly.

While cleaning, it is alleged that Taurai Chanaiwa (29) from the same suburb came and took away the suitcase with all the clothes and went away without the complainant noticing.

When the maid went outside intending to collect her suitcase back into the house she got the shock of her life when she discovered that it was nowhere near.

The worried complainant started to look for suspects but in vain.

She then went to Mzilikazi Police Station to make a report leading to the arrest of the accused.

Chanaiwa appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Ndumo Masuku facing charges of theft.

All the clothes worth $90 were not recovered.

Chinaiwa was remanded in custody. Mr Admire Chikwayi led the State.
