South African property developers McCormick Property Development (MPD) will develop a regional and first of its kind Mall of Bulawayo in Bulawayo.
It's not clear as to when construction of the mall will commence but it is expected to open for trading in 2017. The Mall is currently looking for tenants and will cover 25 750m² in area.
Bulawayo is currently under-provided for retail but Neil Jarvey, Africa executive for JHI Properties expects there will be some property developments in the medium term.
Bulawayo24.com understands that the Mall of Bulawayo will be a fully enclosed regional mall with some of South Africa's national retailers and brands including Checkers, Pick n Pay, Woolworths, The Foschini Group, Edcon, Pepkor, Truworths, Famous Brands and the Spur Group lining up to trade at the new mall.
