Chase Skuza escapes jail

Bulawayo based musician Nicholas Chase Skhuza was on Monday sentenced to 280 hours of community service for selling a residential property which did not belong to him.
His behaviour in court, through pleading guilty saved him from jail as Bulawayo magistrate Merylin Mutshina commending him for not wasting the courts time.
He was convicted and sentenced to 24 months in jail.
Eight months were set aside for five years on condition of good behaviour.
Another eight months were further suspended on condition he restituted the complainant Kenneth Chihota $2 900.
The remaining eight months were suspended on condition he performed 280 hours of community service.
