Trio up for national identity particulars fraud

Three man from Bulawayo suburbs are in trouble after they allegedly scanned, edited and printed a fake Zimbabwean National Identity card to bear one of their names.
This was heard by Bulawayo magistrate Merlyin Mutshina when Langton Dube (19) of Hillside, Polite Mhlanga (24) of Matsheumhlope and Elton Khumalo (38) of Lobengula West in Bulawayo appeared before her charged with fraud.
They were not asked to plead and wee remanded to October 16 for trial.
The court heard that between September 17 and 26 the three in the company of their other three accomplices Lizwe Xaba, Desmond Ngulube, and one Magaya who are still at large scanned, edited and printed a fake Zimbabwe national identity card for Oliver Ndlovu and went on tho replace his Econet sim card at the Econet Agent shop.
After replacing the card they reset the EcoCash account and changed the pin number before going to different Ecocash agents to cash out $3029.
They were later found with the fraudulent sim card and were arrested.
The fake identity particulars were also found with them.
