TWO men from Bulawayo are in trouble after they allegedly broke into the Pig Industry in Bulawayo and stole one pig which they slaughtered at the scene and left with the meat.
The two Prosper Ntundu (22) of Fairbridge in Bulawayo and Forbes Zhiratsago (20) of the same area were not asked to plead to the charge of stock theft when they appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Merlyin Mutshina. They were remanded out of custody to October 15 for trial.
The court heard that on October 2 2015 at 3am the two went to the Pig Industry Board where they entered into the pig stay and axed one male pig.
They allegedly dragged it out of the pen and cut it into pieces and carried the meat to their homes.
The guard who was on duty discovered the blood on the pen and notified the manager.
They tracked the spoor leading to the two's residence and this led to their arrest. The meat was recovered in their houses. The value of the pig was $450 and it was recovered.
