Shop attendant up for stealing $2605

An employee with the Raylite Batteries along Joshua Nkomo Street has been dragged to court to answer a charge of theft of $2605.

Michael Moyo (25)n was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate and was remanded out of custody on $100 bail to a further date for trial.

The court heard that Moyo was employed by Losson Mtongwiza at the shop and on September 23 2015 at 6pm the shop owner conducted a stock take only to discover that he can not account of $2605. Investigations established that he allegedly diverted the money to his own use and this led to his arrest.
