Duo in trouble for snatching suspect from cop

Two Bulawayo man are in trouble after they tried to rescue their friend who had been arrested by a police officer at the United Bulawayo Hospitals for assault by snatching him away from the arresting officer.
Khulekani Ngwenya (29) of Pumula South, and Melusi Tshuma (18) of Entumbane were not asked to plead to defeating the course of justice when they appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya. The magistrate further remanded them for trial.
The court heard that on October 9 this year the police officer Sehliselo Khumalo (31) arrested one Njabulo at the UBH car park for a case of assault. The two come to the arrest scene and snatched him from the police officer pushing the officer away before getting away with the suspect.
The two were later arrested and charged.
